Does anyone remember who won any of the donated prizes last year at the 2017 Deep South? I believe I send an announcement of the winners out on our old message board (Yahoo Groups) but, of course that is gone now and I cannot locate any records.
This is what I am looking for -
ExploreScientific - 20 mm 100 degree eyepiece, I think. Won by___________________?
TeleVue Optics - 2x Barlow, I think. Won by___________________?
Astronomy Magazine subscription, I think Won by___________________?
Sky & Telescope magazine? Won by___________________?
Orion Telescope Center, various prizes Won by___________________?

I won a subscription to Astronomy, but I can't recall if it was last year or the year before.

Just heard from Paul. He won an ES eyepiece a couple of years ago, not last year.

Thanks to all that responded about prizes won. The reason I asked in the first place because when I compose the "begging letters" that go out each year to the manufacturers/distributors that send us donations for our raffle, I like to include the names of last year's winner of their donated item. I believe that gives our letters more credibility.
There was a short turn around time for this and the letters sent (5 of them - the number of companies donating items has been dwindling over the years so now we just have ASTRONOMY, SKY & Telescope, ExploreScientific, Orion and TeleVue). Prizes have already been received via the mail from ASTRONOMY and TeleVue and I am reasonably confident that the others will be sending items shortly.
The dwindling number of donations received makes it important that we do everything we can to hold onto what we have and important that we supplement the donations with good prizes thru part of our registration proceeds. (A large part of registration goes toward purchasing door prizes.)
