Yes, my wife, Susan, and I as well as her two aunts are now at the White Horse Christian Retreat Camp. The 4 of us are the only ones here other than Carol and Donald. Still no electricity at home and some torn off shingles with some leak issues.
Hope to be able to go home in a few days. Stars look great tonight!

Good to hear any damage of moderate to hopefully minor instead of major. Apparently WHCRC fared ok. Any news of other folks?

Walter is headed up here now. He has a generator at home/no electricity and he is running low on gasoline. All services are up and running at White Horse and Country Diner is open. Gas and Wal-Mart are good in Columbia.

Glad to hear you are safe. I came to the forum expressly to find news.
We did fine here in Baton Rouge, I'm in a safe subdivision. We lost power, but got it back on late Monday night. Most of the city can't say yet the same.
Enjoy the sky, here is still more of the same (I mean, bad). Even with the lack of power the light pollution is bad (easy to see with all the haze). I had plans for a trip to Pensacola Beach and had hope for a nice observation there, but all that failed for multiple reasons.
All the best for the affected ones. And lot of patience too.
