As I said in an earlier post - "We should consider observing opportunities when they present themselves" <<<<< or something similar to this!
Having said this lets take a look at possible Spring Scrimmage dates for 2020. In that earlier post I did suggest that we consider multiple dates with a possibility of a last minute decision based upon the weather assuming that a potentially good weekend is available to us. Looking at the calendar for "New Moon" dates for April and May in 2020 the "New Moon" dates are either on or very close to the start date of the two best date ranges - 4/23 to 4/26 in April and 5/21 to 5/24 in May. The other two date ranges would have a last quarter moon beginning to intrude into the sky close to midnight. Accordingly I will say that the 1st of the 4 possible date ranges 4/16 to 4/19 is out, not only because of the Moon but because there are too many potentially good opportunities ahead of that with the next week being possibly the best - 4/23 to 4/26.
More on the dates later, but for now, I would say 4/23 to 4/26 followed by 5/21 to 5/24 are most likely.
