The price of Ralph's telescope has been reduced to $4500.00 It can be picked up at the Deep South Star Gaze. This one is owned by Ralph Junius, one of our PAS members and a regular at the Deep South Star Gaze. He would like to sell it to downsize to another 20 inch dobsonian with a faster focal ratio (making the new one smaller).
What Ralph has is a Night Sky 20 inch f/4.5 scope with Pegasus optics and Argo Navis. The scope also has a very nice 2" FeatherTouch focuser and a nice "orchard" ladder making access to the focuser when the scope is pointed high overhead easy. (Note - an orchard ladder is wider at the base making it steady. It has 3 points of contact with the ground making it more stable on uneven ground than a ladder with 4 points of contact. In addition the steps are closer together. This makes getting to the proper height (eye to eyepiece) a bit easier. The scope also comes with wheels and handles making transport from a vehicle to observing position a bit easier.
The optics have been compared to similar sized Dobsonians. This mirror is a winner. It was re-coated a few years ago.
Asking $5500 (now reduced to $4500.00). Can be delivered to the Deep South Star Gaze.
If strongly interested please let me know and I will contact Ralph with any questions.

Price reduction to $4500 only good for the star party.
This scope has been upgraded to be essentially "bullet proof" by none other than Ron "Dew Buster" Keating. It is ready to set up and observe as i always have, including heated diagonal, two built in 31 amp hr gel cell batteries with charger, etc. It is "push to" with the user friendly Argo Navis system for painless observing without the complications of drives (though you can add them on yourself if you want).
