I'm in Alexandria and looking to peek through a larger scope. The scrimmage is cancelled and observatories don't seem to be very active. (Shreveport, Baton Rouge are the only ones I know of)

Any recommendations?

I just saw your post (almost three months later...). I'm in Pineville and have a 12" Dob. Are you planning on attending the DSSG next month? You should see more there.
