Here is the first hint of the weather forecast for the Sandy Hook area during the week of the 2020 DSSG. Highs will be in the mid 70's throughout the week, with the overnight Low temperatures decreasing from the lower 50's at the beginning of the week, to the mid 40's by the end of the week. It looks like the greatest chance of rain will be on Wednesday and Thursday. With Friday and Saturday having plenty of Sun. Of course, I claim no responsibility to the accuracy of this forecast from Weather Underground.

Actually I posted a long range forecast on October 15th. See "Temperature and Celestial Forecast......." Personally experience has shown that either getting bummed out about a forecast or pinning hopes on a forecast is no good if the forecast is more than about 3 or 4 days out from the beginning of the event. So any forecast from any weather service is sketchy for the beginning of the DSSG if before say 11/6 and if looking for a good forecast for the end of the DSSG I would wait until about 11/9.
I do look earlier mostly just to see how much the forecast changes over time!

Yeah, it'll change right down to the last minute. No way we can plan more than a day or two in advance.

Shields are up and running "Double Front" at the south end of the Marion County line (not the same Marion County with the bridges). This should keep and late season tropical storms and hurricanes away, keeping them in Louisiana. One advantage some of you have even though you may not have realized it is that if you have paid and are planning to come in for two nights, say Friday and Saturday, and.....Friday and Saturday are not looking good, come earlier. Note - as been standard practice for years, the last day that a refund can be granted is 10 days out from the beginning of the Deep South, that date this year is Saturday, 10/31. Don't let an early weather report scare you as they are extremely unreliable. See post from October 21st 2019 which discusses refunds. dssg.boards.net/thread/168/policy-on-cancellations-reprinted-post
