The more sharp-eyed among us may notice the appearance of a new "Weather" button to the menu bar under the logo. Clicking that button will open a page with (currently) three embedded areas of content:
Astrospheric forecast for Feliciana Retreat Center
This is based on the same data from Alan Rahill as Atilla Danko's Clear Sky Charts (from the Canadian Meteorological Centre), but it's basically the next generation.
Several features set Astrospheric apart:
For more information, go to the Astrospheric website. Clicking on the map here will also take you to the Astrospheric website.
Clear Outside observing forecast for Norwood
I'm not sure where Clear Outside get its data, but it seems to be fairly accurate as well. Lots of detail here.
WeatherUnderground (standard weather) conditions and forecast for Norwood
Given that The Weather Company (the entity behind the Weather Channel, owned by IBM) has purchased WeatherUnderground, Intellicast and others, it's less relevant where you go for weather forecasts and information (since they're all the same). At any rate, this embeds the WU forecast for Norwood.
If you know of additional unique weather resources that would be useful here, let us know and we'll consider adding them.
Thanks.

Several features set Astrospheric apart:
- The forecasts are custom-generated for any specific location. DSSG has an FRC Clear Sky Chart so that's not a huge difference here, but it can be elsewhere.
- It's more interactive - Click on the time line to see future forecasts, including animation of cloud development, etc.
- Other overlays are available, including light pollution, aerosols, etc.
- Both an iOS and Android app are available, so you can have a location-specific forecast in your pocket
