Bottom line it is still to early to get a good idea about what the weather will do. As we all know the weather is a moving target that we cannot hit or control. All we can do is live with whatever is served up. As of now, some 8 days from the beginning of the DSSG and 12 days out from the last full day, Saturday the 6th, this is what Accuweather is saying right now on October 25th.
Tuesday - 11/2 High 75 and low 50 with patchy clouds with skies turning out clear at night
Wednesday - 11/3 High 72 and low 48 with moderate clouds with patchy clouds at night
Thursday - 11/4 High 69 and low 49 with moderate clouds with partly cloudy skies at night
Friday - 11/5 High 70 with low 53 with moderate clouds with clear skies at night
Saturday - 11/6 High 74 with low 54 with mostly cloudy skies but clear at night
There is very little rain in the forecast and the temperatures will be seasonal and if this forecast holds the daytime temperatures will be pleasant. The evening temperatures, while cool are quite tolerable with a jacket. Good temperatures to enjoy astronomy and after all - isn't space cool?

Update on the Weather - always changing, kinda like looking at a Lava Lamp - things are always moving.
My information comes from Accuweather at 12 noon on Sunday. I enter the city as Columbia, but I bet the forecast is actually for Hattiesburg, MS which is 35 miles to the east northeast of White Horse. There are other forecast centers that may give a somewhat different forecast. WeatherUnderground has a somewhat more optimistic forecast for Friday and Saturday in terms of both cloud cover and wind.
Thursday, by any forecast is likely our worst day and night. It will be rainy and turning cooler. While Friday and Saturday are looking more promising, it will be cold at night so bring your cold weather clothing.
Check the forecast in a few days and I am sure there will be changes that make the forecast from AccuWeather below somewhat inaccurate.
Tuesday November 2nd
Beautiful with plenty of sun High 75° Low 48° Nighttime - Mostly clear with wind out of the northeast at 5 mph with gusts to 7 mph. Cloud cover 18%
Wednesday November 3rd
Partial sunshine with 45% cloud cover. No rain, winds out of the east at 5 mph with gusts to 8 mph. High 70° Low 54° Nighttime - Increasing clouds to 88%. Probability of precipitation 25%, winds out of the east southeast at 5 mph, with gusts to 7 mph.
Thursday November 4th
Almost 100% cloud cover with rain, a thunderstorm and winds out of the west southwest at 6 mph, with gusts to 8 mph. High 59° Low 42° Nighttime - Cloudy, almost 100% with winds out of the north northwest at 6 mph, with gusts to 8 mph.
Friday November 5th
Showers and t-storms possible. Winds out of the north northwest at 7 mph, with gusts to 10 mph. Cloud cover 81% High 55° Low 38° Nighttime - Partly cloudy and cold. 46% cloud cover with wind out of the north northwest at 6 mph, with gusts to 9 mph.
Saturday November 6th
Times of clouds and sun with 61% cloud cover. Little chance of rain, wind out of the north northwest at 9 mph, gusts to 17 mph. High 59° Low 39° Nighttime - Partly cloudy with 71% cloud cover. Low chance of rain, with winds out of the north northwest at 7 mph, gusts to 14 mph.

The weather forecast on WeatherUnderground is pretty consistent with AccuWeather for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (Good, fair, poor) but much better than AccuWeather for Friday and Saturday. It will be cold then, but clear. Keeping my fingers crossed!
