40 years is a long time. I was just barely 31 years old for the 1st DSSG at Percy Quin State Park in 1983. Now i am 70. There are a handful of us that have attended 30 or more Deep South Star Gazes. 22 years at Percy Quin State Park, 4 years at Camp Ruth Lee, 9 years at the Feliciana Retreat Center and now we will be holding our 5th annual event at the White Horse Christian Retreat Camp.
So should I get more polo shirts printed up with something like "Celebrating 40 years", below our logo as seen on this message board. (Note - I am thinking up whether or not we should have the horse image removed from the star - comments about that are welcome.
Perhaps instead of more shirts, how about a new rendition of our baseball cap with something like "40 years - 2022" on the star? Comments about this too.
Let me know, opinions please.

Shirts are nice, particularly decent golf / polo shirts with a small logo. Typical star party shirts are usually little more than garish walking billboards, which personally I don't care for. Plus huge printed designs on a dark shirt are often too hot to be comfortable in "deep south" warm weather. So I end up wearing them (if at all) under another shirt when it's cooler (which kinda defeats the purpose). A nice, more "corporate" looking shirt would be welcome, i.e., a shirt I could actually wear elsewhere. My preference is for a lighter, rather than darker, color. I'm far too pale and pasty as-is... I don't need a dark shirt to make me look even worse! Also I prefer heavy 100% cotton shirts rather than the "quick-dry" synthetic types, but that's just me.
A long-sleeve heavy cotton T-shirt, (preferably zip-up) hoodie or fleece top with a small chest area logo could also be nice.
Caps? In theory yes, but in practice for me, one-size-fits-all baseball style caps just don't fit. Never have.
I would vote for removing the horse. Nothing at all against WHCRC, but the horse is about the venue -- not the event.
