This reminder needs to be repeated -
GUN CARRY AT THE DSSG - EITHER OPEN CARRY OR CONCEALED - IS NOT PERMITTED
This is in compliance with state of Mississippi regulations and is in compliance with the LEOSA (Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act).
We will have two signs in place, one when you drive onto the property (by the horse statue on the column) and in front of the main building. These signs are in compliance with existing statutes. Additionally during the Deep South Star Gaze no firearms are allowed in any building.
Anyone that feels the need to have a firearm with them at a star gaze has to keep it in their vehicle safely secured. If anyone is found in violation of this (also spelled out on your Liability Release which all registrants have to sign) will have to leave. Your registration will be refunded to you but you will not be allowed to attend any future Deep South Star Gaze or Deep South Spring Scrimmage events.
At a star gaze such as ours we fully expect everyone to get along. Anyone who feels that they have a problem complying with our rules should not attend the Deep South Star Gaze.
Carol Nicaud, the owner of the White Horse Christian Retreat Center has stated that while either the Deep South Star Gaze or the Deep South Spring Scrimmage events are being held "Our Rules are Her Rules".
